Overview

Cloudwords is seeking a User Experience and Interface Designer to join the Product & Development team either as a full-time employee or as a contractor. Their main tasks will include:

• The production of all UX deliverables for the Cloudwords application, including creation of conceptual diagrams, mock-ups, low/high fidelity prototypes, style guides, site flows, wireframes, user scenarios, personas, the production of code-ready elements, implementation guidance and the validation of designs through user research participation.
• Be an evangelist for customer user experience, and feel passionate about making web apps easy to use.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving the current UI and user experience of the Cloudwords application.
• Work with marketing to design templates for new campaigns.

The right candidate will be a self-motivated, self-managed and highly organized individual with outstanding communication skills who feels comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic team and company.

We are not looking for a web developer. Instead, we are seeking a UX and UI designer that is passionate about delivering an outstanding user experience.

Required Skills

• UX expert with proven experience translating business objectives into emotionally engaging, highly effective products as well as translating product requirements into user flows, user interfaces and wireframes, from paper sketches to active prototypes.
• Experienced UI designer of web applications.
• Experience defining and implementing UX patterns and concepts.
• Mastery in necessary technologies, such as Photoshop, Illustrator and prototyping tools.

Additional Skills

• Experience conducting usability tests.
• Experience as a graphic designer in a professional setting.
• Basic understanding of how web technologies (HTML, CSS, and Javascript) work is a plus.
