San Francisco, CA, April 22, 2014 – Cloudwords, the first cloud-based marketing globalization platform, announced today the availability of Machine Translation as part of its newest product release. With Machine Translation, Cloudwords now enables customers to globalize marketing campaigns and content using whichever localization method and model is best suited for their content and budget needs: translation by preferred external vendors; in-house translation; translation by vendors in the Cloudwords marketplace; or machine translation. The Machine Translation feature enables customers to quickly translate marketing content that requires short turnaround times or extremely low costs.

Now, customers that have Cloudwords integrated with their marketing automation, content management systems, or Web CMS platforms can employ Machine Translation for projects that need to be translated quickly and/or cost effectively. Machine Translation is ideal for short-form content that has a limited shelf life, such as social media, creating instantaneous translations for internal reviewers to polish, or for content targeted to reach tier 2 or 3 markets with limited budgets.
Cloudwords will continue to leverage customers’ own OneTM Translation Memory database for Machine Translation projects. By accessing the customer’s OneTM, any content strings that have been previously translated will leverage the translation memory, delivering more accurate translations and further shortening the review process time. All Machine Translation projects are reviewed through the customer’s internal translation review process to ensure quality standards and other best practices are met.
In addition to offering the Machine Translation capability, Cloudwords’ most recent product release also includes several new features and functionalities designed to enhance and build on the company’s award-winning Cloudwords for Marketo integration. The new capabilities further enable Marketo users to customize the localization of all marketing content, regardless of format type. The new Cloudwords for Marketo features include:
- Support for Marketo Tokens: Cloudwords automatically discovers any translatable tokens embedded within landing pages or emails and extracts the content out of it for translation. Upon completion, new tokens are created and inserted into the appropriate translated versions.
- Template Swap: Source content can now be selected and inserted into different templates for different languages, making it easier to apply already-translated content to multiple templates.
Additionally, this product release introduces two new APIs to the Cloudwords platform, Change Order API and Project Workflow API, as well as additional product enhancements to user management capabilities designed to simplify translation workflow. With these two additional APIs, Cloudwords now offers the most robust APIs in the industry.
